Photography Training and Classes

We've had a lot of request by photography students, and other photographers wanting to be our assistants, or wanting to "Shadow" us, or work for us in general. While we do have a few positions those are filled and we can't take people with us to "shadow a wedding. So the next best thing we ca do is offer some one on one training that will help you get the basic knowledge you need, both quickly and personally related to your needs. These sessions are not classes, we offer you one on one time, geared towards your needs.

  • Introduction to Digital Photography Class - 4 hours, $99.00
    Here you will learn the basics of your camera, like what is a F-Stop, or what is the AV and TV modes used for on your SLR. Even the manual mode will be gone over and you will learn to set your Aperture and F-Stop to control action and set your depth of field. We'll go over some basic rules of composition, and you will learn when to use your flash, indoors and outdoors. There will be even more covered as time permits. This is a basic class on using your camera, advanced topics are not covered until these are techniques are learned.


  • Portrait Photography Class - 5 hours $250.00
    Introduction to Photography Course or prior knowledge is a prerequisite. Here you will learn classic studio light techniques, the use of key lights, hair lights, soft boxes. You will learn posing techniques that work with both men and women. We will also cover location portraits, which is very useful with weddings. We will discuss posing of groups, balancing the groups, and how to manage groups of people. We’ll also go over things to watch out for. Bring your camera with you, we will be shooting some.


  • Computer Work Flow – $300.00
    involves 2 sessions 3 hours long in which you will learn how to process the images from your camera, getting them ready to post up to the internet or ready to send to your lab. We use Adobe Light Room and Photoshop where techniques will be discussed that will have you processing a 1000 plus images in a few hours while giving you professional results. If there is time in the sessions we will go over basic portrait retouching.


  • Private Photography Training Sessions - $50.00 per hour You decided what you want to learn. Advanced lighting tricks, Photoshop retouching, creating panoramic photographs, Infrared-Photography (IR Photography), Glamour, Boudoir, Maternity Photography lighting, posing, etc. Or anything else you might have in mind. Models are not included.
